That's fantastic news, Ben. It may be that you no longer need to share, or you may stop for a while and then find that you miss it. Either is fine.
I remember when I was burning out and coming to terms with having to leave my beloved job. The only thing that kept me going was meditation. A few years later, after leaving Sydney, I realised that although I had stopped the daily practice (I did it after my commute, just before walking in the office door), I had replaced it with the country NSW equivalent of "forest bathing": being outside more, regular walks through ever-changing countryside, and a completely different sense of community.
The evolution was almost seamless but the benefit remained. Maybe that's what you're doing?
Makes perfect sense Ben and great news. It means that the writing/journaling has helped you in lots of ways. Change is inevitable and it’s how we process and learn from it that helps us grow. I have all sorts of anxieties and mood swings & feel different things on different days… menopause hasn’t helped but getting things off your mind helps lots and whether that is talking to someone about it or sharing your thoughts on a blog, it can all benefit us. I still think you could write a book … you’d already have a lot of material penned down in your blogs. Food for thought… or “Food for Alfred” lol. Might catch you at parkrun sometime soon.
Joined your blog about 6 months ago. Like the short (quick read) and variety of topics. And how you present them. I have stepped away from things that met a need at a time — and then, were no longer needed. Go with your heart. Be well and do what brings you joy.
As we grow and change it's natural that we outgrow things. As you've shown with the name changes of your blog and now maybe the frequency that you write it 😊.
I touched on it at the start of my latest blog where I want to write when I want to write not write for the sake of writing. Writing isn't another thing that you HAVE to do. It's just something you can do when you want to do it.
