"Taking in too much info was a coping mechanism" - It's this one, for me. Don't have to deal with the tough stuff if you can keep yourself busy enough with meaningless shit. But if your mind is full of meaningless shit your life as a whole will start to reflect that!

Thanks for the shout out, mate. It means so much to me, knowing that something I've written has inspired another person ton take positive action. I honestly never think that it will, I just hope it does.

My trip away in August with limited phone and computer access was amazing! First time I've ever done it and hands down the best trip I have ever been on. Enjoy, mate.

Agreed! we overload ourselves so we don't have to deal with the other stuff we have going on :)

I think even subconsciously sometimes.

Avoidance at all costs. This is probably my biggest struggle. Catching myself and asking why I’m doing what I’m doing. Is it helpful, is it what I actually what I want to be doing etc. I’m getting better but far out it’s very incremental progress. Like excavating sort a pick.

Definitely. It's a habit. A big example is when we are waiting in line for something, what do we do? Pull out our phones and scroll. I pull myself up on it sometimes, especially when I had no reason to actually get out my phone.

Great post. Looking after yourself is the prerequisite for any goal to be achieved sustainably.

And funnily enough, helping yourself helps others by example.

Enjoy the RWC from an impartial lens, it’ll be great to be a fly on the wall in hopefully a France vs. Ireland/NZ final

Yipeeee!! Have a fabulous time! I believe the girls are looking forward to a break from mum and dad too hehe! Can't wait to hear about your trip when you get back!

Have your WC predictions changed? I'm team Ireland, hopefully we see the ABs knocked out this weekend, wouldn't that cause a shake up!

They can't wait! Have said they'll looking forward to being spoilt by the grandparents!

I'm cheering for Ireland too, but fear they might buckle under pressure this week. NZ building nicely. But hope I'm wrong.
