Yes I do read your blogs and Thankyou for the nice comments you made to me I love you a lot too and enjoy our discussions. However reading your blog my comment would be if you showed restraint in the first place there would be nothing to waste and you could have it the next day or freeze it! You would also that way not over eat!e.g have one cake perhaps and not three.
I do this a lot when I eat out, sometimes the meals are HUGE but you've paid for it so you have to finish it, right?
We go to trivia at the Mawson Club on Wednesdays which is schnitzel night, we learnt pretty quick that the meals are big, so we buy 1 plate between 2 and it's the perfect amount :). The club helps by providing as extra plates and cutlery when we ask for it. Solving two problems here, not overeating and not wasting food :)
I was definitely brought up on that mentality as well! Finish whatβs on your plate or youβre wasting good food. Yes my metabolism definitely help as a teenager as I burnt it all off with ease but now you definitely have to be smarter about it. You can still eat everything thatβs on your plate but just make the portions smaller. Took me a while to figure it out but with Alfred it all started to make a bit more sense!
Benny, this is one of your funniest blog which got me thinking. My grandma said don't waste food so I ate it all, but didn't want to pass that on to my kids so I told them "just leave it if you are full" and when they left it I ate it all from their plate π thinking my Grandma is watching from up there. That's double whammy π₯. Now I have to run πββοΈπΊ twice as much to burn it off in order to keep my kids and grandparents happy. Another thing my Grandma said was "Don't take your shoes on bed or snakes will come on your bed." Now I know what she meant π

Had to laugh at the eating out bit... so true... don't waste it!
Waste not want not?
My favorite was the "no desert unless you eat all your dinner". Bribed to over eat with more food, haha.
If people were worried about wasting food they would just keep the leftovers, meal prep or plan better.
Not sure half a tub of Ben and Jerry's is gunna do much to improve the health of a kid from Ethiopia anyway!
100%
Its crazy we had to eat more to get more lol
βIf youβre hungry enough for dessert, youβll finish your dinnerβ

I think many of us where! And it was super appropriate many years ago... but not so much now. It's just too easy to eat too much!
