And .......23. Thank you Ben for showing up being your raw authentic self. You do not realise your presence in the running for resilience community and the positive impacts you have on others without truly knowing. You are a champion Australian, amazing father to beautiful girls, husband and more importantly my friend. Thank you.
Congratulations to you Ben - seriously. The transition from an International sportsman to ..... whatever - must be huge. I spoke to Dan Vickerman (post retirement) in a pub in Paddington before a Tahs game. It was a nice chat and all but I wish I'd told him what an inspirational player he was, how I have a Tahs jersey with his signature hanging on a wall in my home etc etc. So again, my heartfelt congratulations Ben - and please keep up the great work.
Thank you Matt. It has been huge to start again and figure out what's next, but support from you and other readers are helping me to find my path. Thanks again and will do.
Remember when Kostya tried to copy Jeff Fennech? “I am luffink you all”. Loving these end of year, positive, reflective, gratitude loaded vibes though.
Yep. A very underused and neglected one, as people prefer to spend time growing their biceps. Not sure why the prefrontal cortex doesn't get the same, if not more attention as it impacts our lives more than our biceps.
Good on you Ben. You have always remained upbeat even if you didn’t feel it. You’ve achieved a lot this year! Happy New Year to you & Jen and I hope to see you next year at parkrun
What a LIST!!! That's what the Brumbies family is though right!? :) I'm gonna miss sporadically seeing Steves face around HQ and love what Robin brings to the team, she has such a strong bond with you all and it's awesome that it continues even after players have left.
Can't wait to see what's in 2023 for you and your family Ben.
Wouldn't be the bloke I am today if not for walking through the sliding doors that eventuated in you backing me in. It's been genuinely life-changing and I'm eternally grateful for your friendship, help and support.
I don’t think it’ll be a penny drop moment. Rather a series of incremental times where I do something that scares me and realise it’s not as hard as I thought it was.
Thanks Ben and I do have some awesome people in my life. I'd gotten to a point where I had to reach out as I had no other choice. I'd tried everything possible to look after myself, which I guess kind of made it easy to accept that I don't have all the answers and need help. Best decision I ever made.
Thanks again mate and I'm glad your along for the ride!

Far too kind Binhy but thank you. Support and friendship from people like you make it easy for me to be myself.
Couldn't have said it better Binh!
Yessss to this!! :)

And give the prefrontal cortex a good work out while doing it
It’s a muscle...

I agree. Big biceps are pretty cool though.

Thank you Sarah. I assure you I wasn't always upbeat, but proud I kept moving forward. See you and Phil at a parkrun soon.
Lovely ❤️ gratitude journal 🙏from our R4R legend 💪
Thank you, Benny. You’re on overwhelming positive force in mine and so many others lives.
Thanks Skip. As are you.
Cheering you on, Ben.

Hang on.. is Robin leaving Brumbies or are you? I know Dr Steve has moved on, but didn't know Robin is??
Thanks Clare and I'm excited for what 2023 has in store for you too!
Thx heaps mate.

'23 gonna be big!
My pleasure mate. I'm looking forward to hanging out and working together, and can't wait for the moment when you start backing yourself in.
Me too!

What an awesome list of people you have around you!
What stands out for me was that you reached out for help - many people don't take that step, so well done.
I've enjoyed reading and look forward to tagging along on your journey via the blog.
Cheers,
Ben
