Very interesting. I guess there are two root causes of rejection. First, the person who is rejecting you just doesn't want what you have. E.g. you sell hot dogs and I don't like hot dogs. Doesn't mean there is anything wrong the hot dogs. Second, is the more obvious one where I like hot dogs and I reject yours. Then you know there is probably an issue with what you are doing and need a rethink.
So first step is classify the reason for rejection. Maybe the accelerator already had foo many lifestyle type ideas and wanted a more balanced portfolio. Doesn't mean your idea is inherently bad.
Once you get established the reason then overcoming it is a lot easier if a task.
Cheers Huw. I think its the latter as who wouldn't want a product that helps you have more energy? Bascially I think there's lots of hot dog lovers, but perhaps they think there is too many hots dogs available and I haven't convinced them that mine is the best?
Reading your post this quote came to mind - “Life is like a camera. Just focus on what's important and capture the good times, develop from the negatives, and if things don't work out, just take another shot.” – Ziad K. Abdelnour.
Heard a great quote today from Thomas Edison. “I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work”. The quote is a reminder that failure is not the end, but rather the beginning of the journey to success. Edison was known for his many failures before inventing the light bulb, and he believed that how an inventor deals with failure is important to their success. He also said, "Our greatest weakness lies in giving up. The most certain way to succeed is to try just one more time”. Replace ‘failure’ with rejection’ and I think there’s a good message in these old quotes.

Great quote! Have already reloaded the camera and taking more shots!
Thanks for sharing Ben.
Rejection is hard to take, especially when you don't get feedback.
Keep trying :) each rejection is one step closer to the acceptance you're applying for.
Thanks Clare!
I agree totally that our lives are better with more energy.
I also agree that the food we eat has a massive effect on our energy levels.
Perversely though I've felt most energised and focus when fasting between 36 hours and 72 hours.
Personally I'm not convinced that tracking food consumption is the best way to demonstrate the relationship between food and energy.
Happy to chat more or be a sounding board for your ideas.
