RIP Marley. Ben what a amazing story. Hope Marley unconditional love and memories hard to forget but time helps you to heal. Try to get another pet if possible. Happy weekend
OMG that plot twist was a hard one. Lean into the grief but know that, in time, it will settle into a special place of memories.
I agree with the suggestions to consider another pet. Not necessarily straight away, although we only lasted a month without “someone to eat the end of the cheese grating 😭”. There will never be a replacement for Marley, just a successor in the Alexander dog family dynasty.

OMG Ben.
What a beautiful story.
I’m so sorry.

Thanks Sarah. Love that reframing. Will look for a successor dog instead of a replacement.
What a beautiful read 💖
Sending love to you and your girls.
PS have you thought about becoming a journalist? You enjoy writing and you certainly have skills .
Thanks James. I studied journalism at uni.
I watched a Cinderella story last night.
The girls started watching and I had to finish it. It’s about a football star who wants to be a writer. You’re definitely the main character. 😝
Your girls would love it.
Also stiflers mum is in it.
You are a good man Ben and I’m sorry for your loss.
I truly enjoyed meeting you at The Dock a few weeks back. It was a pleasure.
Your reflections are interesting, simple however very deep.
Keep going. There is a huge and wonderful life ahead.
