Yesterday I rear-ended someone because I was tired. I hadn’t slept well (late dinner + 2 beers with a mate) and was just pulling out of the garage when it happened.
But it’s got me thinking about the other mistakes I’ve made simply due to being tired—mistakes that made me feel foolish, even though I know I’m not. My brain was just running on empty.
Have you ever made a mistake purely because you were tired? Keen to hear them and feel better about myself lol!
Same sort of thing happened to me, once I Parked the car in-front of small tree and I was so tired and have to go to the places on the next day. I started the car; it's a manual car and gear was on, and car started moving and hit the small trees and broken the fence for that tree. I felt so guilty and tired too.
I wonder that you were so educated about the importance of Sleep and effects of late-night dinner and drinks at night on sleep... Still some time life or situation demands that.. isnt it ? hope everything sorted now.
I’ve tried to send you an email. I’m coming to Canberra and would enjoy catching up if possible. Would you mind sending me an email james@jamesmathers.com.
I make those sorts of mistakes if I’m not concentrating.
I make other mistakes because I make the wrong decisions. That happens almost every day.
The challenge is to understand your mistakes, remedy them and try not to repeat them.
PS if the damage and hurt is minor, move on .
Remember to keep that ball moving! That’s the key.
I once took out a car park boom gate after a reallllly long day at work. That was an expensive bingle and all because I was wrecked!
Yep!
We all do
My most recent one was a speeding fine. I was tired and not concentrating 🙃
