Writing this blog really helped me when I was doing it tough.
But lately I've been feeling so good and busy with fun stuff that I’ve been forgetting to write it.
So this week, I'm going to share everything that’s been happening and celebrate feeling good, as I’m mindful great times don’t last.
Tomorrow is my last day at KPMG. It’s been an awesome 2 years and I’m excited to announce what’s next soon.
R4R keeps going from strength to strength as we had over 400 runners on one Wednesday, and regularly getting over 500 across our 4 weekly events! Had to change the route to make getting out of the Foreshore safer and begun looking for more pubs/courses to spread the love.
R4R had its first International Women’s Day Breakfast and we heard from the incredible Jess Peil while raising money for Braveheart’s 777.
We launched the R4R Podcast called ‘Road to Zero’ and is recorded while walking to symbolise going for a walk and chat with a mate. See here for my interview with Travla CEO and former Bentspoke CEO Jon Ward
The Brumbies came to R4R and announced their support. Gave us discounted tickets for the year and I’m proud my old club wanted to help.
Fired up our free Brumbies bus from the Dock to all home games!
Went to Echuca with Jen for an awesome Travla team weekend.
Made progress towards finding an Alfred co-founder. Chatted to 4 founders who are all doing amazing stuff.
Completed my first parkrun in nearly 3 months after tearing my calf.
Did post footy Squat and Deadlift PBs.
Even made some Eucalyptus oil with the girls at my parents farm!
Anyways, I’m mindful of not overdoing it and having too much fun.
But life couldn’t be better at the moment, which I could never have imagined would happen when I was at rock bottom 2 years ago.
Good food + sleep + exercise + community + a little bit of daily progress at work = winning!
Mate, isn’t it amazing what you do these days with the dread of the fat club! Great work mate
Happy to see all falling in places with positive signs and have fun.. Keep rocking Ben...
