After nearly 7 years, my career transition is complete.
My talks are going great (booked out nearly four months in advance) and R4R is exploding, with a new run starting or school joining the movement almost every week.
It’s been such a long road and still can’t believe I’m getting paid to do what I love again.
And I definitely can’t believe it’s through running and public speaking, two things I use to hate most.
But maybe this was always the path I was meant for and I couldn’t be more grateful to everyone who’s supported while I searched for a second career I love as much as playing for my city and country.
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
“You have to trust in something—your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever—because believing that the dots will connect down the road will give you the confidence to follow your heart, even when it leads you off the well-worn path, and that will make all the difference. Sometimes life is gonna hit you in the head with a brick. Don’t lose faith. I’m convinced that the only thing that kept me going was that I loved what I did. YOU’VE GOT TO FIND WHAT YOU LOVE. And that is as true for your work as it is for your lovers.
Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe to be great work. And the only way to do great work, is to love what you do.”

A chat with a mate and mentor
Thanks for all the kind messages after the launch of the R4R podcast.
We believe connection starts with conversation, and loved sitting down with Anytime Fitness founder and former Central Coast Mariners chairman Rich Peil to chat about why he’s and his wife are backing R4R, and the impact he believes it can have.
Not only is Rich an incredible mentor, he’s become a great mate and I hope you enjoy the episode!
Just. Getting. Started.
Yipeee :)
I'm definately with Steve Jobs on this and hoping the mantra will lead me to my next career love too
